This week we returned to Paris from a 10-day “autumn break,” a great excuse given to us by the kids’ school to travel and see more of Europe.
We used the time to visit Italy and Germany. We thought that the Florence area would be fun not only for its food and art, but also as both Lamborghini and Ferrari have headquarters there, we could satisfy Matthew’s interest in fast, beautiful cars.
We also added Stuttgart, Germany, to the itinerary, not only because it’s the home of Mercedes Benz and Porsche, but also my youngest brother, Tim, just moved there and he needed a reason to buy some furniture.
